Somewhere between the tide and tequila, I forgot what day it was — and that was the whole point. The sun was warm, the breeze was easy, and the sand just kept pulling me deeper into doing absolutely nothing. No rush, no reason — just the simple rhythm of the waves and the feeling of being exactly where I was meant to be.

It’s not about politics, race, class or gender. It’s what we can all see if we’re willing to open our eyes. And if we want to save ourselves, we have to save the planet. The damage is done, but we’re not beyond repair. We can’t rewind, but we can still choose to move forward. Every little change adds up, and if we keep pushing, maybe we’ll reroute the future before it’s too late.

I was never one to settle for the same. One night, I stepped out, and everything felt different. It was that feeling of pushing beyond the edge. One shot. One chance to see what happens when you stop holding back. And just like that. . .  I chose to take the shot. The path? Unwritten. But the growth? Next Level.

The holidays came around with their usual glow, but this year the lights felt dimmer and the quiet cut a little deeper. Holiday Blues have a way of slipping in unnoticed. One moment you’re fine, the next you’re replaying old memories like a loop you didn’t mean to start. Still, somewhere in that heaviness, something shifted. The cold air cleared my head just enough to remind me this isn’t the end of the story, but just a pause.  It is a breath between chapters. Even in the sadness, there’s a spark pushing me forward, leveling the journey piece by piece until the beat drops again.

Funny how the beginning never really ended. It’s like I’ve been here before, yet everything feels fresh. Like I’m standing at the same place but seeing something new, something I missed the first time around. The path loops back, but there’s something different this time — something that wasn’t there before. Maybe the beginning’s just a repeat of what we’re meant to see when we’re ready for it.

I didn’t think I’d hear from her again. That first meeting felt like a spark that slipped away too fast. Then she hit my phone with a simple message, "Pull Up!"

It wasn’t a question. It was an invitation. She’s ready to see if that energy from our old "Rendezvous" still lives in the air between us.

So I grabbed my keys and rolled out, feeling that familiar rush.  The ride there was exhilarating  knowing that this moment could shift everything. Same spark as before… just "Next Level."

And truth be told, I’d been ready since the night she first walked away.
